Happy Rise of the Guardians DVD Release Day!

Now that the official releases for DVD and iTunes are out for people, I thought it might be fun to have another discussion post for both people who are rewatching the movie, and for those who are just getting to see it for the first time.

Discuss anything! Here's some ideas to kick start things.

• How would you describe the movie to someone who hasn't seen it yet?
• Is there anything you remembered differently from the theatrical release to rewatching it now?
• What did you think of the post-credits scenes?
• Have you had a chance to read any of the books yet?
• Do you think you'll participate in fandom, or have you already? (ie; fic, icons, tumblr graphics, etc)

After, ah... four times in the theater, I think I've noticed most of the little details (Jamie's shoelaces are mismatched), but I just noticed the writing on North's sleigh-- When Bunny grabs in during takeoff, there's text under his paws but it's not a language I recognize. I thought it should be Russian, but unless it's reaaaally stylized, I don't think it is. Anyone?

Have you had a chance to read any of the books yet?

I've read the Man in the Moon book, which was cool, and I've also first novel, Nicholas St. North and the Battle of the Nightmare King. I checked both out of the library. I've got a hold the next book, about E. Aster Bunnymund, and will get it as soon as my nearby library. I really liked the first novel, and I'm interested to see what will happen next. And then in September we get a fourth novel, about Sandman. (-:

Also, as cool and North and Katherine and Ombric are, I really like Nightlight. (-:

Do you think you'll participate in fandom, or have you already?

I've written some fanfic; you can find it on my DW. Warning, some of it is very adult. Please check the ratings and warnings.

An opportunity to be a kid again.

• Is there anything you remembered differently from the theatrical release to rewatching it now?
I haven't seen it since december (when was still in some theaters here in Mexico) but the 2nd time I watched it. During Pitch speech he says he wanted a family too. In that moment I screamed because it was an obvious reference to his past-self, you know, before becoming the Nightmare King

It was so cute ;3;
• Have you had a chance to read any of the books yet?
I bought them, and I read them. AND I LOVE THEM :D they are amazing and is good to know the story of the guardians.
• Do you think you'll participate in fandom, or have you already? (ie; fic, icons, tumblr graphics, etc)
I have, mostly in spanish with drabbles, a one-shot one normal the other crossover, and a multichapter fic that I almost finish (2 chapter left!)
